Art Based

Intro To Clay #4377

This intensive week-long session will introduce all participants to clay, new techniques, and allow for each to discover and learn about material, construction, and design. Each student will make various clay objects of their own design, which can be picked up the following week beginning July 19. Instructor: Grace Joyner

Intro To Painting #4379

Discover the art of painting using traditional and non-traditional tools. Focus on both landscape and portraits through building a foundation in composition, perspective, and color mixing. Instructor: Terrace Moore

Science Based

Whiz Bang Boom

Experiment, invent and discover! A hodge-podge of cool, fun and exciting hands-on activities and experiments! Use chemistry and physics to make things fly, pop, change and explode — all in the name of science!

Ages: 7-12

Date and Time: Monday-Friday, June 26-30, 1:00pm – 5:00pm

Fee: $70.00 City Residents ($105.00 Non-Residents)

Registration: Registration and payment must be made by 12:00 pm July 10.

LEGO Pre-Engineering

Let your imagination run wild with tens of thousands of LEGO®! Build engineer-designed projects such as boats, bridges, mazes and motorized cars, and use special pieces to create your own unique design! Explore the endless creative possibilities of the LEGO® building system with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor. This is an ideal way to prepare young builders for the challenge of Engineering FUNdamentals.
Ages: 5-6
Date and Time: Monday-Friday, July 17-21, 9:00am-12:00pm
Fee: $115.00 per child
Registration: Registration and payment must be made by 12:00pm July 20.

LEGO Engineering FUNdamentals

Power up your engineering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO®! Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as arch bridges, skyscrapers, motorized cars, and the Battletrack! Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment. An experienced instructor will challenge new and returning students to engineer at the next level.
Ages: 7-10
Date and Time: Monday-Friday, July 17-21, 1:00pm-4:00pm
Fee: $115.00 per child

CSI: Museum

Be a crime scene investigator and help us solve a mystery! We’ll analyze evidence, such as footprints, fingerprints, and ink stains, to solve a crime.

Ages: 7-12

Date and Time: Monday-Friday, July 17-21, 1:00pm – 5:00pm

Fee:  $70.00 City Residents ($105.00 Non-Residents)
