The Imperial Centre’s Maria V. Howard Arts Center’s Summer 2017 exhibitions (The Juried Art Show, Distant Transmissions by Christine Zuercher, and Women of the Red Earth by Tonya Holy Elk Locklear and Margie Beth Labadie) are closing on September 10th.
Although the second floor will be closed to the public through the remainder of the month, the first floor will be open! Our Gallery Shop and interactive, family-friendly exhibitions are free to experience and are open 10 am – 5 pm om Tuesdays through Saturdays and 1 pm – 5 pm on Sundays.
Our Fall 2017 exhibitions are opening October 6th! They include: Our Living Past photography by Timothy Duffy; Clay Pots, Clay Sculptures by Mark Gordon; Dan Finch Potters by Dan Finch and Finch Students; Dynamic North Carolina Artists selections from the Permanent Collection, and Sculpture Salmagundi XXI juried by Charles Pilkey.
Join us on Sunday, October 15th from 2 pm – 4 pm for our Fall Opening Reception! This Reception is FREE and open to the public! Join us for music by Big Ron Hunter, light refreshments, and a short awards presentation at 2:30 pm to announce the winner of this years Sculpture Salmagundi!
