KIDS’ DAY: August 6th

Thursday, July 12, 2018

Where can you get art, science, music, and sweet treats for free this summer? Right here at the Imperial Centre!

The Imperial Centre invites families and summer camps of all shapes and sizes to join us on Kids’ Day! Kids’ Day will be held on Monday, August 6th from 9am-12pm for an end of summer celebration. This event is free to attend. We kindly request that large groups and camps RSVP to: no later than July 23rd.

Kids’ Day was inspired by our sweet art exhibits, on display through September 9th. Like First Friday, different art and science activities and demonstrations will be stationed throughout the property. Find them in the main lobby, Arts Center, Children’s Museum and Science Center, and the courtyard. In addition, we’ll also have a Zaxby’s prize wheel and character; a music education program created and presented by Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc; a rousing game by the local Girls Scouts; and Rad Human will lead participants in a hat decorating experience!

Kids’ Day would not be possible without the support of our volunteers and local sponsors.

Communities in Schools (CIS) and Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. (AKA) committed over twenty volunteers for this event! They are even providing additional musical programming, which will make our Kids’ Day unique and unforgettable. Sweet treats and beverages have been generously donated to the Imperial Centre by local businesses: doughnuts from Krispy Kreme, cookies from Double Tree, graham cracker cookies from Zaxbys, and waters from Sheetz. All treats and drinks are FREE while supplies last, so come and indulge!
