Charles “Charlie” Killebrew was born in Edgecombe County and spent most of his life photographing the local area and region for the Telegram. He also owned a studio in Downtown Rocky Mount and was an aerial photographer. Killebrew is still widely remembered in Rocky Mount and it has been a joy learning more about him while this photography exhibition is on exhibit.
Scenes and Views: the Charles Killebrew Collection is on display at the Imperial Centre’s Arts Center until April 21st. The Arts Center is always free to experience and it open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10am-5pm, and Sundays, 1pm-5pm. For more information, check out our webpage, or call (252) 972-1266.
