Fall 2019 Art Exhibitions

Our Summer 2019 exhibits are closing on Sunday, August 18. The Arts Center is always free to visit and includes two interactive art exhibitions perfect for the whole family. The exhibits leaving the Arts Center are:

  • Interwoven: Elaine Fleck
  • Daddy’s Home: Lamar Whidbee
  • Juried Art Show: juried by Amiri Farris

As summer comes to a close, we are excited to announce our Fall 2019 Exhibitions

This Fall, we are featuring North Carolina artists! Wilson artist Susan Fecho’s solo exhibit features installation, found objects, mixed media, and innovative dying and pressing techniques that will amaze any visitor. We are also the proud host of the 2019 Watercolor Society of North Carolina’s juried exhibition. The show features 70 works of watercolor from North Carolina artists. We will also have a selection of art from the permanent collection on display throughout the Fall. Dates of our exhibitions are as follows:

  • To Contemplate What Lies Behind Us: Susan Fecho September 6-December 29, 2019
  • Note: exhibit will be closed from October 1-6, while WSNC is being installed and opened for their organization.
  • The Odd, the Weird, and the Wonderful: Selections from the Permanent Collection September 6-December 29, 2019
  • Recent Acquisitions: Selections from the Permanent Collection September 6-22, 2019
  • Watercolor Society of North Carolina’s Annual Exhibition: juried by Stan Miller October 8-December 29, 2019
  • Sculpture Salmagundi XXIII: juried by Jason Smith Opens October 1, 2019

Celebrate the Fall 2019 Exhibitions with us

You’re invited to join us for the Opening Reception of our Fall 2019 Exhibitions on Sunday, October 13 from 2-4pm at the Arts Center. The reception is FREE and open to all. Enjoy light refreshments and live music by Valerie Wood. We will have brief announcements, including the Best in Show Award for Sculpture Salmagundi at approximately 2:30pm.
