The Children’s Museum & Science Center will be closed from September 2nd through 20th for exhibit changeover. Be the Astronaut closes on September 1st and the new exhibit, Spin, will open on September 21st.
Spin showcases the study of rotation, and how rotation affects nearly all aspects of our life. In this hands-on exhibition visitors can learn about centrifugal force, rotation, weight and so much more. Whether it is seeing how far your car travels at the Fast Lane station, or getting into the human centrifuge and experiencing the feeling of rotation first hand, Spin has countless ways to observe and experience the science of rotation and motion.
It only costs $6 to visit the Children’s Museum & Science Center (children 2 and under are free). Ticket price includes the planetarium and laser shows. If you’re a Rocky Mount resident, you can visit for FREE on Sundays! Visit the Children’s Museum & Science Center during our operating hours: Tuesdays through Saturdays 10am-5pm and Sundays 1pm-5pm.
