Lunch & Learn

Join us for a FREE Lunch & Learn on Friday, October 27 with ceramics and sculpture artist Mark Gordon. Enjoy a free lunch in the Galleries while Mark Gordon discusses his incredible life of travel and craftsmanship. His work ranges from vessels and vases to sculpture and abstraction, so please come ready to experience the exhibition with the artist himself.

Yoga in the Galleries

 An after-hours relaxation experience amongst the art. Participants will be invited to bring their own yoga mat, pick a spot in an art gallery and be led by a certified yoga instructor through an hour program. It is a Thursday evening program – perfect for professionals to come after work.

Every Thursday evening, 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm

Pilates in the Galleries

Join us for an after-hours Pilates class in the Art Galleries that will make you sweat! Amy Skaggs will lead participates through stretches, repetitive moves, light weight training, and more.

Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30pm

Art Saturdays: Drop-in Workshops #4596

Join us for a morning experimenting with different types of art! Travel around the Imperial Centre, observe sculpture, paintings, drawings, photographs, architecture, and many more artist-made objects, and then make your own! Registration is not required, drop-ins of age 6+ welcome. Limited to 25 participants.

Wheel Throwing #4593

Learn the art of throwing clay! Extend your knowledge of transforming clay into functional and non-functional objects through wedging, centering, throwing, finishing, and glazing. Perfect for beginners to intermediate age 14+.

Intro to Drawing #4601

Practice the art of drawing! Experiment with techniques, and discovering how to represent what you see through studies in contour drawing, perspective, positive/negative space, and value. Students develop a deeper understanding of capturing subjects as an artist or designer. Beginner to intermediate age 14+.

Saltwater Etching: Family Workshop #4603

Draw or stamp designs into metal! Learn the etching process, and create a unique artwork and jewelry piece. Beginner to advanced age 10+.

Join members of the Tar River Piecemakers Quilt Guild to design and make a special holiday stocking. Work independently or together as a family using textures, textiles and sewing techniques. Beginner to advanced age 6+. Limited to 30 participants.
