Celebrate the artist inside you! Arts classes and workshops at the Imperial Centre for the Arts and Sciences are for community members of all ages to experiment with artistic disciplines, different materials and techniques. Try something new, collaborate with one another, and stay curious.

Recycled Art: Spring Break Camp
Time: 9 a.m. – Noon (Drop-off 8:45am)
Ages: 6-12
Cost: $35/1st student, $25/2nd student
Repurpose the everyday into art! Learn about the elements of art and create a new artwork everyday. All materials included. No prior experience needed. Registration required by March 27. Limited to 15 participants.

Beginning Oil Painting
Tuesdays, April 2-May 7
Time: 9 a.m.- Noon
Ages: 18+
Cost: $90/person
Painters come to class with different interests, experience, hopes and goals. Class focus: Still life in class with realistic color and shading; Cubistic portrait of favorite person using geometric abstract design; Landscape featuring :favorite simple outdoor place to achieve colorful impressionist painting. Individual and class demonstrations and critiques. No prior experience needed. Registration required by March 29. Limited to 15 participants.

Beginning Acrylic Painting

Learn the art of painting! Using acrylics, focus on color mixing, application, and building a composition.

Learn three styles of dance: Inspirational Contemporary, African, and Hip-hop. Each class includes mini educational lectures infused with a focus on strength, joy, resilience, and unity. Female only. Experiment with a new painting technique! Learn how to use pouring medium and create abstract and unexpected designs on canvas. All materials included. No prior experience needed. Registration required by April 8. Limited to 20 participants.

Slip Casting: Clay workshop

Beginning Machine Sewing
Time: 2-4pm
Ages: 12+
Cost: Free
New to sewing? Join us for this informative workshop about the ins and outs of a sewing machine! Learn how to operate your machine, along with the tools of sewing- thread and fabric. Leave with a completed project. Student will need to bring:- sewing machine, thread (neutral color) pins, scissors. No prior experience needed. Registration required by May 15. Limited to 6 participants.

Pointillism: family workshop

One popular art technique that requires a lot of attention and concentration is pointillism.
