Now accepting submissions for our 65th National Juried Art Exhibition. Deadline to submit is April 6, 2023. Exhibit on display May 19-August 13, 2023.

Monetary Prizes
We offer four monetary prizes: Acquisition Award (purchase prize), First Place, Second Place, and Third Place. The juror may also select merit awards at her discretion, but there is no monetary prize for this special recognition.
Awards:

- $1,500 – Acquisition Award
- $800 – First Place
- $500 – Second Place
- $250 – Third Place
- $250 – Best Regional Artist Award (must reside within 60 miles of Rocky Mount, NC)
Acquisition Award:
The work selected for the Acquisition Award will become part of the Arts Center’s Permanent Collection. Any artist not willing to accept the $1,500 award must indicate such on their entry form to declare their work not eligible for this award. Works not for sale will be ineligible for the award.
Media: Open to all media except installations.
Eligibility:
Open to all U.S. artists 18 years of age or older. Work must be original and executed within the past three years. Work must not have been previously exhibited at the Arts Center. Entry in this exhibit establishes an agreement on the part of the artist to all conditions listed in the prospectus.
Entry Fee:
There is NO Entry Fee for up to four submissions.
Juror:
Eric McRay received a BFA degree at the Maryland Institute, College of Art, where he earned a four-year scholarship for his artistic talent. A native of Washington, DC, McRay moved to North Carolina and has been exhibiting since 1987. McRay’s artistic career has been featured on TV and radio programs, and in numerous newspapers, magazines and websites.
